Not a very good photography week. Looks like I need to be more conscious of the things I'd like to be reminded of. Seems like often this week I just tried to make do with a hastily taken shot just so I have a shot for the day.
I'll probably remember this as a week of being breathless (and for some intense parts, really gasping for air) ...
...having to skip work because of asthma and me having the lung capacity of an 80-year old
...watching Payton Manning finally win a big one in what's probably the best NFL game I've ever seen
...watching the Suns twice (thank you Solar Sports) including their 16th in a row...
...going through lots of meetings, including attending to some matters that involve just blowing off some steam
...coming home early to do some "CPR
You know what? At the end of the day, it's still my girls that leave me most breathless.
I guess it's true what they say with that old, corny cliche: “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” (or something like that)
I wish you all more breath-taking (and picture-taking) moments. Great week to y'all.
Sometimes we all just really need a restart.

Embarrassing, yes. But this is one the first audio cassettes I ever bought. And his was the first concert I ever saw. Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly...

Saw this in Gizmodo by way of flickr. This photo appeals to a geekdad like myself in so many levels.
Coming from "the emperor" himself, over wine at some fancy restaurant and also at plenary:
The quality of the relationship is directly related to the quality of the conversations.
While he was speaking in the context of work and organization, this applies so much more to all relationships in general.
Pretty eventful week that happily led to a lazy weekend. This was a week of many blessings amidst all the hectic demands of work and home. It's great that I'm doing project 365, or else because of a jampacked work agenda, I would have probably forgotten about all these...
A surprise birthday party that ended up as a surprise engagement announcement.
A chocolate buffet to celebrate a dear co-worker's birthday.
A visit from the "emperor" who had much wisdom to share.
A touching honor from people that matter.
A wedding of a good buddy, and a good reminder of the power of family, friendship, and love.
A lazy weekend spent cocooning at home with my girls, Hiro Nakamura and Meredith Grey.
